Research Interests: Physics of high-Q optical, microwave and mechanical systems; whispering gallery modes in optical and microwave resonators; optical microspheres applications in photonics and experimental technique; fundamental mechanisms of dissipation; nonlinear optical effects; quantum nondemolition measurements and theory of quantum measurements; laser gravitational-wave antennas.
